				acres of bass

Saturday am, ran all over looking for fish, finally hit a small school around 8am thanks to some terns, got 3 bass 28" - 30". Pouring rain and fog made it tough to locate them since they were moving around. Around 9 headed towards home to try another spot, suddenly came upon the mother lode, acres of birds and bass as far as I could see, not sure if it was the fog, but I was the only boat on them. They were all over the surface slurping what looked like tiny silversides. The next 3 hours was solid fish all cookie cutter 26" - 32" with some larger ones mixed in. Must of landed over 30 fish. Most fun I ever had, I couldnt believe how many fish there were. As the fog cleared, they got very picky and I was I getting most fish on a wooden egg with a small fly. More boats joined the fun but the fish were so spread out noone was near me. Had to leave at 12:15 to meet my wife. I took some pics but due to the rain, fog and waves, you cant really see anything clearly. My hands are hamburger! |
