Firefox smilies

Why don't my firefox smilies work anymore?? I got them when someone else in here pointed me to them, worked fine at first, just pick one and double click. Now I can't get them to work.

Just tried that, no luck. Been trying everything. Whatever I did, when I now click on the regular smilies the smilie appears in my message instead of the code like it used to.

uninstall reinstall firefox.

only works in the quick reply.. doesnt work in the advanced option.

Ok, it works in quick reply, it also works if I click the go advanced button, it just doesn't work when I use the blue Post Reply button on the top and bottom of the page.

Ok that's out of my system!
BTW, if I had known it was that easy to un and reinstall FF i would have done it sooner. Thought I would lose all my bookmarks and extensions and such. Another reason to love FF!

I checked the guys site when I was having the problem and I think he said he is going to address the easier previewing. I e-mailed him and got an automated response that said he was camping for 2 weeks.

Well, at some point I'd like to add an integrated preview into the sidebar. I tried to get it in for this release but I found that Firefox doesn't cache images loaded by XUL and this would have put a huge strain on the servers. I can't save the smilies on to the computer easily either for copyright reasons and because of the sheer amount of work that would be involved in checking which images had been removed from the database.

As for other features, who knows? If you have an idea for one, then please send it in and I'll think about it. Don't request integrated preview though. I know you guys want it, but at the moment it just isn't practical!"

darn... thats probably the only thing i would want for that silly lil plugin.

ok , the way it works for me is :
under the 'smiley xtra 4 ' are 5 buttons and a smiley ..
the first button opens what ever smiley you have highlighted in a new tab
the second button opens the 'group preview ' of whatever you have highlighted
the third one inserts the code in your message of the smilely you have highlighted
the others i haven't played with yet ....
