				Auto parts places.

Can't look up bearings by size.Have no goddamn clue what lapping compound is.

All they know how to do is look up by year/make/model.

What the hell is the use??!

				 | Lapping compound is the white crap which forms on the jowls of large dogs that you don't want to touch.
True story...this winter I was in the AutoZone in Fall Rive. The kid behind the counter commented on how he liked my jacket. I said yea, it's French...

Wow did they give him some crap for that
Jacket was by Millet. Great hiking/climbing gear if you can get it at discount.

				 | Rule number one is to go to an independently owned autoparts store. Over on my side of the bay, we have south county auto supply.. They helped me order a bunch of bearings for my 108" belt sander and pressed them for me.Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device

 | Hard to find around these parts although there's a Carquest (independently owned, weird hours, shocker) in the "friendly" part of NB that can order just about anything.

Nothing is nicer than Arcteryx though.
They're pretty much the Henri Lloyd of outdoor gear. |

				 | Lapping compound is used in doing valve jobs to seat valves. You you put a dab on the valve and with a plunger tool you stick the plunger to the valve and spin the tool with the palms of you hands.

I think it'd been on the shelf as long as the store had been open. |
