A couple of Red headed Bottle plugs
I never dated a red head but always wanted too....
But I do love red headed plugs and made my 1st 2 full size bottles this week with help from the Mr Pogie tutorial on the other site and some posts by Numby.

The key is inching up on your marks using a 60 or 80 grit 1" drum sander. I used AYC and did not have any problems making the nose shape which to my eyes looks like it should swim well. Time will tell.

				 | The face shape looks good to me. Maybe a little more flat under the line tie to the chin if they seem sluggish, but likely they'll be fine.
I think you'll do better with the line tie horizontal. As Mr Pogie mentioned, tweaking the line tie up or down often improves the action.

The weight distribution also is crucial in getting them to swim, and is hard to predict for any given body shape beforehand. Some shapes do best a little tail down, some do better near level.

Very gratifying plug to build and fish when you hit it right.

 Nice job.

thanks for the info on the horizontal line tie and tweaking the angle..

OD Mike- yep... I have not been working so have been trying to make many plugs that I had on my to do list... bad news is I have an interview for a great job next Tuesday that might get me working FT again... but we can use the $ so that is good....

				 | They look great, Chris. I did very well on bottle plugs for a stretch last summer in the canal. |
