moss has been a pretty good soldier ...so far. recent quotes from randy....stfu and play football.

"When you have done so much and put so much work in, it kind of feels like I am not wanted," Moss told William Bendetson of CBSSports.com. "I am taking that in stride and playing my final year out and whatever the future holds is what it holds, but it is kind of a bad feeling -- feeling not wanted. It is not like my production has gone down. I am speaking from an individual standpoint. I don't know about [Patriots quarterback] Tom [Brady's] or whoever else's contract.
"I am a little older and understand the nature of the business -- the older you get the more your skills supposedly diminish, but I think I am getting wiser in how to use my physical skills. That's the frustrating part when you put so much heart and desire into things and feel like you are not wanted."
"You know the Patriots don't really pay, so when I got my second contract from them that was a blessing in disguise. I understand the business. I don't think they're going to re-sign me back. I'm not mad. I'm not bitter. It's just the way things are in this NFL, so like I said after this year I'll be looking for a new team. I think so."

he's been either one step away , or Brady's passes are one step to far.... one of the two...

but their Awesome connections have been OFF since they won the last superbowl....

his dissatisfaction.... or that unwanted feeling he has...
.has affected his game dramatically regardless of him being wiser
on how to utilize his physical skills in my humble Opinion as an easy chair quarterback

I think what he says is right on. He's been consistent for us. Who knows what will happen. The Pats don't air their laundry in public so it will be silence from them until the deal is done or not done.

It's media noise, they grab whatever they can and hate the Pats because Bill B. doesn't throw them any bones.

The Freak has been all you can ask for since he donned the Pats uniform. He demands respect from the secondary and helps our offense tick, if he has a big year, he'll get another big contract.

Its so stupid that these guys complain about not getting resigned when they have a contract in hand for so much money.He was happy with that in 2008 and would be insisting on getting his 6.4 this year if he had crapped out last year. So he did well and that means 6.4 is not enough to motivate good play this year unless they sign him for future years.

Sports stars have such a distorted view of the world it sometimes makes me sick.

Play great for 6.4 and maybe he'll be wanted for $10 million next year. Mope and dog it in protest about no extension and you can be sure he'll get the boot next year.

Some of these guys just make me sick!!

I like Randy Moss and think he is good for the Pats, plays hard and I hope they sign him for future years! That said I will echo Saltheart in that he is signed FOR THIS SEASON!!! So he should shut his pie hole and play his ass off for all its worth!!! Either way it will only add millions to his next contract!!! Its in his best interest to shut up and play!!! He could stand to polish up his "Class" a little bit and not talk about this post game!!! Bill B. will sit his ass and plug in someone else!!!!

I like Randy Moss also. It's human nature to want to be secure and that is why these high paid talented athletes want a new contract before the current one is over with. We all know how much he needs to be handled a little differently since he's fragile, I guess insecure too.
I hope he stays for a few more years.

Starts out his press conference by saying he's not here to talk about his contract, then proceeds to talk about it for an hr. !
I think Wes Welker is in the final year of his contract also don't hear him bitching !
If a choice had to be made I'd give Welker a new deal now !

Moss was still in either Minny or Oakland the last time the Pats won the SB

Not so sure that Randy has ever really been "there" at any point of his career. Million dollar talent, 50 cent head. Plus the smoke rings aspect of his life.

In Minny he had problems sharing the ball with Cris Carter.

In Oakland he had problems getting the ball, which you really can't blame him for.

He did and said all of the right things in 2007 when he set the TD reception single season record.

Been all downhill since. Took a bunch of plays off last year. And I'm not sure how hard he busted his ass for Cassel in 2008.
