				First Plug, first cast....

 ...caught a bass.
Friday evening on a rocky shoreline I cast this plug (I hope I posted the picture correctly) and caught a nice 20" schoolie on the first cast of the night. a heckuva feeling.

The plug was my first off the lathe and this was the first time I cast one of my own. The paint is white with a purple haze, a white bucktail with four white and one red feather.

I have sat and watched and hopefully learned something from the amazing work you all are putting out there.

				 | This really is a lot of fun. I even had managed to convince my wife to get me the lathe for xmas.
After I caught that fish I threw that plug a few more times and played around, got it to walk the dog and swim with a nice little tailwag. I did not want to lose it so I soon put it back in the bag. It turned out pretty nice and I think it is a shape and style I will copy.

I have a few more knock offs that I have thrown together. I was disappointed in the quality of the picture, so when I can a get a better photo, I will post some more pics.

The work you guys do is inspirational and humbling at the same time. Thanks a lot to you all.
