				 | In Falmouth they sell the real thing. Fresh Kielbasa, not smoked. 3 pounds of that. One large onion, carrots, potatoes and a half head of cabbage boiled together for 45 minutes. HMMMMM!!!!!! Heaven. ( don't forget the fresh half sours and honey mustard on the side.) Stop & $hop has it occasionally specialy around Easter.
In our house it's a baked ham and kiebasa for Easter Dinner. Pierogis too. 1/2 Polish 1/4 french canadien 1/4 Mic Mac native american, That's me! |

Why even try......... |

				 | Dave's Marketplace in North Kingston sells a good kielbasa that's made in Central Falls. You used to get good kielbasa in Fall River but no more. |

				 | Blue Seal Kielbasa out of Chicopee MA. They sell them at the Big Y supermarkets in MA. My old man is 100% pure blood pollack and this is all our family eats. Kielbasa and horseradish can't beat it. |

				 | Thanks a ton everyone! Glad I asked!!!
You said it, Kielbasa and horseradish. And an Easter tradition. Can't wait except my Easter's not until May. Lot's of time to investigate, though.

				 | It's that time of year again... and the quest for the best kielbasa continues.
I was on a Cod party boat yesterday and this guy Burt from New Haven told me about a place called Gawrons in Chicopee for getting good Kielbasa. And he said the Pulaski Club (Polish American Club) in Chicopee sells good perogis, galumkis, and those curled pastries and other stuff. A polish woman makes it for them.

Hey they drive up from New Haven to get it. Could it be that good?

I've since found Micheals Meats on Mendon Road in Cumberland for kielbasa. They sell it smoked or unsmoked. But now I have to try these places Burt told me about.

				 Easter Breakfast
Nothing better than fresh (HOT) horseradish, good rye bread, hardboiled eggs and fresh easter kielbasa. Maybe a piece of toasted babka as well. I really can't wait. We alwasy get ours from a small shack in Meriden CT called Filipeks (sp?). Its a small family business that just makes the best. If had i to pick a second its a tie with the Blue Ribbon or Martin Russel, who also BTW makes some great kellys. |
