				beans riverkeeper boots

Has anyone seen the new beans riverkeeper wading boots? They look like they might hold up better than the ultralights as long as they don't weigh a ton. |

				 | They do look nice. I think the waders are called Helix, the riverkeepers are the wading boots in the pic in the catalog. OOps, rereading your post I think you WERE talking about the boots...

				 | Another option you may want to check out are Mirage Rock Hopper Boots. They are a combo of dive boot and korker and are used by surfcasters in Australia. I have a pair and they are really good in the summer when you want to fish a rocky area but do not want to do waders.
Here is a review:

				 | I'll be interested to hear about them - I've got a $60 Bean gift card that I'm going to put toward a new set of wading boots for this season -
Sounds like the Ultralights don't hold up very well, Nebe... |

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

				 | I went thru a pair a year of those, and fixed the peeling soles a bunch of times. Still a lot better than Korkers if you fish for a long amount of time or walk far. I blow the spikes out of Korkers. |
