Anyone know the make of this faucet? How do I exactly remove the spout itself? There is nothing stamped on it other than hot/cold. Underneath there is a small U shaped opening near the where the spout comes out of the wall. There is also a small circular opening near the end the spout where what appears a set screw should be(allen head?).I Can't get this %$%$%$%$ing thing off!!!

Btw bought at Home Cheapo about 6-7yrs back.

 Jeff?

				 | They are usually screwed on a threaded pipe. Use a heavy rag to prevent jaws of wrench from damaging the finish. Most likely has pipe dope on the threads when installed. |

And there is a fair amount of corrosion.

There's a a little knob on top of the spout that you pull up to make the shower work.It broke.I want to replace the whole spout with a little bit more quality one. |
