I agree with Slip, try some weight in the belly...
I agree with Slip, try some weight in the belly first. I would suggest right behind the hook. The weight gives the plug a point to pivot around when swimming.

Top one is 7.25 inches and 4 ounces. The other three are 6 to 6.25 inches and 3.5 ounces. All are hard maple and painted with cans.
