If they are the stock jeep nuts they are as stainless cover over a steel nut. Do yourself a favor and go to napa or carquest and get some good one piece nuts and put them on with a little antisieze....

Is this radiant or baseboard? if it is radiant you don't want to go much higher than 140 on the mixer if you have hardwood floors and there should not be more than about 15 degrees drop over the run....
