terrible photos, but here are some pics of a musky plug. the lip is in line with the plug-no angle-and is long and round. This plug goes to about 20-25 feet.

it swims!

it has an excellent side to side about 6-12" under water. a little but not too much roll. it has a good bouyancy to it. when I stop the retrive it floats to the surface, but then digs right down...

FYI....

The A.C. Moore in Warwick has about 2/3 of their acrylic craft paints (those little 2 oz bottles) on clearance for $.50 and some metallics for $.55. They also had some of the "effects"...

I can always make more. All the paint is createx except for a light coat at the edges of the black stripe on the back. That is highlight violet by jaquard (thinned with regular water)....

not sure of the turpentine, but mineral spirits are suppossed to evaporate. The spirits are not the sealer, the val oil is the sealer. The spirits help to thin the oil to allow it to better penetrate...

I made some little ones and used the .062 wire....

I made some little ones and used the .062 wire. no problems. The best action came from a couple that had no belly weight except the hook.
If you really want some thinner wire, check out mcmaster...
