Or just use a spade bit and drill a hole for the cup but don't worry that it is not rounded. It will still spit water. Do your drilling before you cut any face angle.

Looks good to me! A little splatter don't matter to the fish if the lure is moving. Even if it is not moving. If it looks good the fish will eat it.
