If you decide to use hangers I would definately recommend filling the hole with epoxy to firm things up a bit. Good luck and dont forget to post some pics.

BTW, the needle is maple and the popper is red cedar (I think). Lotta fun through drilling the maple needle when the fatest part is 5/8's.

6inches, approx 1.5oz, AYC, stainless throughwires and hook hangers. Lip material was cut from a plastic tacklebox divider.
Hard to tell from the pics but the sides are pearl white with very fine...
