A hair dryer is a better tool in my opinion. Much harder to ruin the paint job. Heat gun is too hot and requires you to be very careful as to how close you get to plug.

I have plenty of inserts. I put my belly wgt’s in before sealing if your talking tail wgt hole make them bigger by a 64 and it should not be an issue
