WEATHER REPORT.

let's hear or see your conditions stay safe

Somerset MA heavy wet snow. has destroyed a few big limbs on my cedar trees The wind is howling. 12 inches and white out conditions
@ 836 AM

I didn't measure it but I would say we are up around 24-28' across town from you. I worked in Fall River last night and we had trucks getting stuck everywhere. When I left this morning I would say it was around 10'. Most streets were never touched by a plow. Listening to the scanner and both Fall River and Somerset cant keep up with the call volume. Somerset has trucks stuck waiting on a back hoe, F R has multiple disabled vehicles ( that shouldn't be out going for a coffee ) Several medical units and fire trucks stuck. Its not good out there. Snow seems to be getting lighter as the temp dropped a bit.

30+ " in Coventry.

Just a normal storm up here in Burrillville. We have seen bigger but it's due to elevation. 24" is just a big storm for us, nothing exrodinary.

They said 36 in S.E. Warwick. I'm in S.E. Warwick. Parts are higher in drifts.

Power went out at 5:30 AM, bugged over to old-going-up-for-sale-house which had power for the night. Power at new house came back on early am

Beat the travel ban home by an hour, landed at Green from FL at 6pm, one of the last flights in Sunday night.

Solid 24" in Westerly. Waiting for the plow to come through the neighborhood. Big drifts, annoyingly the bottom 3 or 4" is concrete because it was warm, top 18-20" is pretty fluffy.

been back and forth from Newport since tuesday. AM. its ugly everywhere side streets unplowed. main roads good several plows off the road. but things are starting to get a little. better.

unless you live in fall river they need heavy equipment. regular Plows are not enough

24 TO 28", 4 ft drifts. All in all just a regular snow storm at 725' elevation.

No snow in the Champlain Valley, hardly blew the snow out of the trees from the last storm
We did have 1or 2 inches today

Five days after the big dump in plymouth we finally got power back tonight, tough week. Burnt a #^&#^&#^&#^&load of wood and sad that so many of our cedars, shrubs and young trees took a hit. Many are lost some will look so stupid after i cut away all the limbs that snapped after coated with so much wet pasty snow, might end up taking some down all the way. Getting to old for this crap, looking into a propane powered generac next year.

wdmso 02-27-2026 05:44 AM

My cedar trees got smoke. Also.

Now I can see my neighbors after 20 years. 😩

We were lucky we never lost power.

My brother recently got a tri-fuel Predator generator from harbor freight... can run on gasoline, Propane, or natural gas. 11,500 watts, pretty damn quiet, and even has a remote start FOB... I wanna say it was 2600$ . Its impressive

Fall River is a disaster, I can't believe how bad some areas are. I understand there is no place to put it, but it is bad. There are streets that have not been touched yet. Heavy equipment from New York, Ct, and the MBTA have been hauling snow 24/7 since Wednesday. The National Guard has been here with Humvees, with 3 personnel as a chase vehicle for our Ambulances. Others are assisting with stuck fire trucks and Ambulances. I dont think its the amount of snow but the time frame in which it fel, they just couldn't keep up with it.

Was is fall River by crew boat dropping off fenders at the state pier
It looked like the Arctic from inland fuel to the state pier. Mini iceberg’s

From all the dumping .

Yet big enough if you hit one at faster than 5mph they could do some damage

Storm related maritime impact. Ship I unloaded need to maintain 3 knots to not drag its anchor. But seems it caught this old navy mooring, weight and chain Anyway

they got lucky. there was a tug barge and a crane in newport Harbor

They pulled along side and dropped the anchor and mooring block on the deck of the Barge pulled up whatever chain was left . cut or untangled took them about 6 hours start to finish

Not sure how much they will get for the scrap Chain but i am guessing. the shipping company cut a big check to get it done so quickly

That’s some nice lookin chain. Been preserved in the mud for years. Be some nice bottom chain for some moorings before the top chain.
