Weekend Plans

Getting ready to move is a lot different than actually moving. Still have not closed yet and not looking good for next week. Waiting for flood insurance to be approved. I hate bureaucracy. Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?

So what's up for the weekend?

After a chilly morning the water, I cleaned and packaged the fowl and spent the remainder of the day cleaning this disaster from Christmas. Tomorrow I will be out on the river again then thawing out for the rest of the day.

There are a ton of spots that they know they're safe from hunters. Usually on the lawn of a business or a park where we cant hunt them. I haven't put the boat in the river yet this year, been hunting from the kayak and in the fields. The river has been loaded the past few days as all the skinny water if frozen.

Broke 3miles of wooded trail with the dog yesterday. Back in today and we were still the only prints in there other than the fox coyote and deer.

I’m thinking of installing a “no goose shyte” sign in the backyard.

They can be a major PIA...I have a golf course that wants me to take care of their problem for them. They make a huge mess. I wonder if you open the basement door if you could lure them in?? Save a lot of money on shot shells...

We had hunters come in in September at the course I work at. They took out 60 geese. Made a huge difference. We have to blow off the fairways when the geese s hit all over them. There is so much crap it clogs the reels.:af:

I believe it. 60 isn't even many birds, I'll bet there are hundreds in the area of the course.
