Truck insurance

Damn couldn’t believe how much the price went up on my 2018 Silverado, even if I dropped all the optional coverage it is still $1K. Who are you guys using, was going thru AAA, but might be time to shop around.

Shop around Bob... take your current policy, scan it completely and email to a number of agents, let them do the work of finding you a provider that's within your budget. Don't be afraid to move from one agent to another...if you're anything like me, 99% of the time, I'm just paying and hardly ever use it. I had become complacent until I realized that there were savings to be had, my agent just wasn't shopping around enough...so screw the loyalty piece.... And don't be disappointed if you're already there...my Tacoma 2012 is right around 1100 ...not many bells and whistles either

Yeah, it's getting silly, particularly if you're someone that doesn't make claims. I run comparisons from the big ones and see what has the best deal for the best coverage. There is a little bit of a savings going through AAA sometimes, but I've also found you need to go and shop them directly at Progressive or Geico.

Bob, have any family members served in the military? Maybe your father? Then take a look at USAA and plug in the family member.

Had MAPFEE lightly backed into a women's Pre damaged car. that was already side swiped broken windshield. dented the plastic bumper hand ball size. minor scuffs .. Reported the accident to them. sent pictures
of the all the previous .. to avoid a sure charge.

But nope. they paid 3k to fix her car jacked my insurance. 3 points up to 650 a year extra. to 2700 a month.

went progressive online put in all my info. 1200 buck. same coverage.

give them a look.

Cancelled Mapfre, picked up the same coverage for $600 less thru a local agent and Plymouth Rock Insurance. I am going to look into USAA for next year, but I'm going to have to call someone to see if they even have a record or my Dad being an active member. Nobody in the family seems to know, but worth checking into if I can get some benefits from his service.
